This super little guy is Dillon who is about 3 months old and is a laid back boy. His coat is beautiful and super soft. The vet who did his exam and shots thinks he is an Aussie, but he may be a mix as I believe he will be a large dog. I'm still working on his name because a guy this cute needs one! He is very sweet and loves to give puppy kisses.
He has just arrived today and has had one set of shots. He'll be ready to go soon so we are accepting applications now. If you'd like to request an adoption application, please email tndeathrowdogs@gmail.com
This is Jill who arrived today with her brother. She is about 3 months old and the vet who did her shots said she appears to be an Aussie. I believe she may be mixed though because she is a big puppy and will probably be a large dog. She has some very big paws :) Jill is very playful and enjoyed eating some flowers today and trying to pull the weed guard out from under my flowers outside. She is very funny and super cute!

A volunteer writes: Lucky's world fell apart when his owner died. He lost his master and his home and was placed into a kennel. It did not sit well with him....at all. He acted up, barked, fought. He was desperate and angry. One can understand. Yesterday, Lucky was walked by a staff. I barely recognized him. I had in front of me such a well behaved and composed dog. The staff was petting him, his tail was wagging softly. He sat next to her like an excellent boy. What a transformation! I had to try for myself, later on. When I came to Lucky's door, he got up from his blankie and welcomed me. He sat and I leashed him without fuss. He is such a great walker! He seems housetrained too. His cage is neat and clean. Lucky seems cool with other dogs met upclose in the backyard. He sits and stays on command. He gives little licks on the hand. He is a very friendly, sweet and gentle dog. Lucky must have been a great companion. I am quite taken by Lucky. He is a beautiful middle aged dog, clearly a family pet who has still a number of good years ahead of him to give and receive love. Lucky is at the Manhattan Care Center hoping to be soon in his forever home. He is an awesome dog!

Lots of people are celebrating with family and won't even see this in order to save them. I wish I had more room and a billion or two dollars. I would put together that bungalow/cottage idea I dream of. It would help both humans and pets. It would be ideal. But for now, I'll just continue to share these.

This Big Cute Furry Kid needs Your Help.

This guy was left in a crate on the door step of a vet during the night in Franklin, TN. The vet let animal control take him for now, but that may not be the best thing. Between 1-2 years old and not neutered. He knows the command sit, had NO internal or external parasites and appears well fed. He is a massive (72 lb) tank of a dog. But sweet and gentle to take food from your hand. Rolls over for belly rubs. Doesn't have any scars to suggest he was ever in fights. He seemed fine around other dogs (who were in cages) in that he never growled, acted a fool (other than he tried to pee on a dog in a cage), or seemed aggressive towards any dogs. I did not torture any cats with him walking by. I will even neuter him for free if someone will adopt him. He would make an excellent guard dog....might lick the burglar to death if not scare the crap out of him. He could have a harness and hook a wagon with a dozen kids in it for him to pull around the neighborhood so long as the wagon had a hand brake (he is super strong). Would not want kids hurt from falling out of a wagon :)
